Interstitial nephritis (or Tubulo-interstitial nephritis) is a form of
nephritis affecting the interstitium of the kidneys surrounding the tubules.
This disease can be either acute, meaning it occurs suddenly, or chronic,
meaning it is ongoing and eventually ends in kidney failure.
